[SOLVED] My screen has a black bar on the left and the right side is cut off

Ever since i got a new gpu (MSI GTX 1050) the display has been slightly offset, I got all of the drivers, tested all the things I could think of and it's still like this, and I couldn't find any way to fix it. I am using a HDMI to VGA adapter, could this be the reason for this?

Reinstalling the drivers and the screen just gets messed up after reinstalling it

FIXED: The solution was to change my refresh rate to 59, which somehow fixed the thing? Then i tried changing it back to 60 again and everything was normal.
