I am currently using this hdmi switcher:

My screen is a 27'' samsung with a recommended screen resolution of 1920x1080. When I had it plugged directly into my graphics card the picture was sharp and reached the edge of the screen, looking full. Now since I have it plugged into this hdmi switcher I purchased, the screen is pushed in about 2cm from both sides, and 1cm from the top and bottom. I've tried to change the resolution, but it says that I am already set at 1920x1080. It said when I bought it that it supports up to 1080p and above. Is there some kind of free software I can download to extend it more, or maybe something I can mess around with in the bios? Any help is always welcomed, you guys and girls always do a great job answering my questions. Thanks, JSN58

Might get away with adjusting the scaling options in your graphic's card driver control panel, CCC. If you still cant get it, it might be a limitation of the splitter itself, have you tried just having the computer connected?

Not sure how far splitters have come in terms of quality but seems HDMI is finicky in it's initial design and wasn't really designed to be split. Just my guess.

thats what i was getting at. just waiting for the amd or nvidia answer so i could give more detailed instructions.
