my second monitor can't watch videos

Hey

so currently, if i'm in a game on my main monitor, and i have a youtube/twitch video on my 2nd monitor
it 'lags'
like it runs at 5fps

it never use to happen

is there any fix?

Can you provide your system specs including both monitors resolution and refresh rates (aswell as cabling between them) please mate (info in my signature is what we require)

i have a i7 8700k oc to 5ghz
nvidia 1070gpu
16gb ram
my main monitor is connected via mini display port at 2560 x 1440

my 2nd monitor is connected to the gpu using hdmi and then a hdmi to dvi port to 1080p



60hz each

it use to work fine until i did a fresh install of windows

worked fine for 2-3 years
now it's unwatchable
i usually play WOW and watch twitch/youtube on the 2nd but now it doesn't work

The first things i would check are the HDMI cable (swap them between the monitors and see what happens) and the HDMI>DVI-D connector (I presume this monitor doesnt have an HDMI input ?)

my 2nd monitor the 1080p cable
only has vga and dvi connections
so im using a hdmi to a dvi connector to view it

but it never used to be a problem until august

Things fail over time mate, i would check both of those items as one of them may be fried by now....
