After Upgrading to windows 10 from 7 Ultimate, my second non boot SSD will no longer show up in OS or Bios?
I have no Idea what to do further...?

Prior to the upgrade, all installed SSD's and HDD's showed in bios.

I thought that it may have bit the dust, so I took it in to get tested at a local computer store, as I dont have another way to test it in my house.

They called me back the next day and said that it was fine, although needed to install a driver to be able to look at the drive (whatever that means, he was very vauge over the phone.

* I will be asking him as to what drivers exactly on Monday, after this is posted on the forums.

So I took the drive back home and thought that there must be something wrong with my cables or sata port...

I checked all cables
Swapped out other drives.
Had a look in bios and the other drives work just fine in all bays/ports/cables.

The drive in question is an identical drive to the boot

(Corsair GT 240)

So I do not know why it does not show up if the other shows clearly for boot, bios.
I will continue to look for answers and get back to this on what the local computer guy said.

Is there anything that anyone can think of that would be causing this?

Please and thank you in advance,

Cheers.

Solution

Yes, I did read it.
It was working.
It is now not working.
It does not appear in the BIOS.

The OS upgrade has nothing to do with what happens in the BIOS.

Never had a raid setup. When upgrading to 10 and selecting drive for install, all drives were present... then as win 10 loaded in, I checked My computer to view my drives to do a long needed cleanout of the drive in question. It was not there...?

All cables and ports have been cross checked and verified working.
Bios stable working and updated, Drivers that I am aware of working and updated.

Still at square one.

Power OFF
Power ON, check the BIOS.

It still does not appear?

Many many times. Clearly If the drive was swapped out to do a check.

Cleared Cmos, reset bios to stock and back to updated. Nothing has worked this far?

Bad SATA port. (not)
Bad cable. (not)
Bad drive.

Contact the manufacturer, and see what they say.

Not sure if you read the OP.
The drive is clearly working, I saw it with my own eyes...
