My sims game is frozen. how do i get it unfrozen?

I have the sims2, and before i got a dell computer it was working fine on my hp pc computer. now with installing a video card, my game won't work at all.

A new video card? Did you install the drivers for it? That could be your problem

Try unpausing the game.
