My sony PSP has found my router but it says the security is not supported

have psp1001 and new netgearn300 wireless router can not connect to internet via router help please

if you are using WPA2 wireless mode on your router, the PSP1001 is not compatible with it

The risky choice is do you take the security level of the whole network down to the level Sony can accept. The Sticky Post at the top of this sub-Forum page tells you how to access the router and make changes - no security at all is not worth thinking about, WEP is very vulnerable and WPA is your only remaining option.
