Question My Sound quit working on a Aorus X570s Ultra MB

I have a certified, refurbished Aorus X570s Ultra MB, and have had no problems until this morning. I just logged on this morning, and I have no sound coming from either the toslink or the speaker out 3.5 mm outputs in the back. The line out in front does work. I've built and rebuilt computers since 98, and I do have some knowledge, but I don't know it all, of course. The drivers are fine, and I reinstalled them. The sound settings are fine as well. Any ideas? The MB is under warranty, but I'd rather not be without a PC until it gets replaced. Thanks for your help.

What OS are you working with? If you're on Windows 10 or 11, which version(not edition) are you on? BIOS version for your motherboard? If you're on Windows OS, open Sound Manager(from Control Panel) and see if the default audio output device was swapped with your discrete GPU.

Thank you! Setting the speakers in the Sound setting in the control panel made the difference! I don't know why it worked, when setting it from the sound icon, in the task bar didn't, but it is working now. I had deactivated the GPU sound options in the Device Manager, previously..
