My SSD drive isn't showing up in anywhere in disk management

I'm sorry for the bother, but how do I know whether its being using as a cache drive or not, here's a screen shot from the intel rapid storage status

Ok but I just want to confirm that its there or being used, is there a way to do so?

If this is a custom system.

You need to ensure you have the latest software from Intel as well as a upto date bios for your board.

Most boards have to be set to RAID mode before enabling SSD cache.

Now if you are not already in RAID mode, you will need to perform a slight mod to the windows registry to switch to RAID mode from IDE or SATA.

For Windows 7 follow the instructions carefully.

For 8 it is a bit different.
MS has this

BUT I am sure they had a more easy registry edit(I used startoverride to go from RAID to AHCI without issues.).

The option of booting in safe mode if it works would be the most easy.

Once you are running in RAID(some board makers will have a mode called SRT while others will just use RAID. refer to the manual) and able to get into Windows without issues, you should be able to enable SSD caching.

Please note that enabling SSD caching will erase data on the SSD and if you have a large enough ssd(120+ gigabytes for most users) you are better to just have Windows and common programs on it instead and keep personal files and less used programs on the hard drive.

If this is the same system as the OP, you may need to contact Lenovo because they have a custom setup here by the look of things..
