I have had my Samsung 860 500GB SSD for only about a year and now recently i have been experiencing it disconnecting from my system every 45 mins to an hour when i play an application written on it. This issue started happening around two weeks ago where while i was playing a game on my SSD, the SSD itself just disconnects from my system without a clue.

However if i manually replug the SSD cables back into it's slots, it begins working normally like it did before.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this? Also this only happens to my SSD, nothing else in my system is effected.

PC Specs
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
AMD Ryzen 7 1700 8 Core Processor
X370 SLI Plus Motherboard
AORUS RX 580 8GB
Corsair Vengeance 16 GB RAM
Raidmax Thunder 735W Power Supply

I don't think I have ever applied a firmware update to any of my samsung drives.
Possibly such an update might be a fix.
If the drive is sufficiently back level, updating might be one option.
Magician should tell you your current level.
If the update addresses your symptoms, try updating.

First, if you can, use system restore to reset the pc back to when all was well.
Sometimes, windows pushes out problematic updates.
