My SSD works but not my HDD?!

Hello everyone,
I have very recently built my first gaming computer although I have recently encountered a bit of a problem. In my PC I have installed both a 120GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, however now that I have installed my OS and am ready to start using it and downloading things on to it I realise that in my computer files I only have access to my SSD and can't find my HDD file anywhere! I am pretty sure it is not just a matter of it not being connected because when I first put in the OS CD it gave me the option of putting it in one or the other of my drives (I put it in my SSD) and in my BIOS it mentions the HDD in various places. I can check my wiring again but other than that I don't know much about what the problem could be.

Side note: My BIOS is actually named UEFI for my motherboard, it still contains all of the normal things you find in a BIOS but it's named differently, does this make it work differently?

Please help!

Solution
Start - Type "Disk Management" and the option that comes up will probably say "Create and format hard disk partitions". Click on that and then follow USAFRet's instructions.

Where can I find Disk Management in my files? Can you give me some clear directions? I will have to check this later as I don't have access to my PC at the moment.

Thanks though.
