My subs make a pop noise when i shut the radio off why

Solution
Because that is what your amp or radio does when power is simply cut. If you simply unplug a home stereo or computer speakers you may also get a pop.

A turn-on pop eliminator delays the amp's turn-on lead by a second or two, but a turn-off pop eliminator is going to be more complicated, and would only really work if you can shut off the headunit without a pop and only get it when killing the power by turning off the ignition.

If that is the case you could workaround the problem by always turning off the radio before the car.
