My system cant find my new hard drive

i have a dimension e310 and the the hard drive that i have ran out of space so i have a 500GB Barracuda hard drive,the western D hard drive had only 80GB. after i installed the new hard drive it says no boot device available
and its sata hard drive so could u tell me what im doing wrong and help me correct it?

If Windows was installed with the 80GB hard drive in it, then it's probably placed it's boot partition onto that drive and the drive containing the OS itself isn't bootable. This behaviour is non-intuitive, and it's why I always recommend installing Windows with only the OS drive connected.

The solution is to reinstall Windows with nothing connected to it except the drive you're installing onto.
