My Toshiba Ext Hardisk is not been detected in any computer, but when you connect it with systems it shows the indicator light and some crazy sounds comes out of it.
How could I get my files out of it?
Unfortunately, if you're hearing unusual sounds/noises coming from the drive, it's more likely that it has some mechanical issues. Nevertheless you could try it with a different USB cable, to see if the same thing happens. Try accessing the HDD via Linux Live DVD/USB, in order to find out if it's properly recognized and if you can get to your data, or try some of the data recovery programs offered in this thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html
If none of that proves useful, you could always try your luck with a data recovery company.
