my toshiba hard drive no longer accepts uploads and it is taking extended periods of time to display contents

the 1 TB discs ( I bought two) are not performing as well as they did when first received. I can no longer store on them--they simply do not accept any additional files, and it it takes several minutes for them to display contents.

What make and model? What age?

How full are they?

Try checkdisk. If no fix, try Seatools.
