[SOLVED] My trackpad/touchpad doesn't work

My trackpad doesn't work and I think its something to do with the drivers. I downloaded driver booster 8 and used it, and that messed up my laptop, I have been able to fix everything except the trackpad. I have never dropped my laptop

Never use Driver Booster or similar. Your laptop maker has all the correct drivers on it's support website.

All you need to know is laptop 's full model number.

I tried that but all that came up was a BIOS update which I installed but nothing happened to my trackpad

can you try this and see if it makes any difference
Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.
