my turtle beach px22 headphones work but my mic doesn't

I bought my turtle beach px22 headphones about 4 months ago and the headphones work, but the mic doesn't. I threw them on the ground because I was angry. Is it broken?

Is the mic damaged at all? Is there any visual tears or anything of the sort?
