My USB ports are always on, even when computer is off. How to fix that?

My mouse has a backlit logo and it shines even when the PC is shut down. That is because my USB ports are always on and how can I disable that function?

Am pretty sure its only lighting 1-2 LED's but i mean you can try unplugging the computer from the socket. But if your worried about the power usage its only 1-2 LED's being powered

Kinda irritating that it must shine when I'm trying to sleep. Dont either want to unplug my PC every night just because of that problem.

If you are using Windows 7-8....

Go into Device Manager and drop down Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
Right click one of the hubs in here and and select Properties.
In here there will be a Power Management tab, where you can select to allow the computer to turn this device Off.

See if that helps.

You can also check your BIOS to see there might be a "Wake On" switch set to USB... if so, disable it.

Just flip the psu switch then.

Thanks! Did that, all the hubs were already on the right setting but it still doesn't work.
