One of the fan's stopped working on my HD 7900 Series graphics card. I'm not entirely sure which graphics card I have within the 7900 series, but it looks like this (It's one of these three):

I'm sure you guys could help me narrow it down based on how much memory windows 7 say it has:

On the fan it says "Vapor-X" in white inside of a baby-blue circle. I can't find a replacement for it.

Sapphire just told me this:
Please check with aftermarket brands like Zalman, Arctic cooling or thermaltake for replacement fan unit to fit your card.

But they won't tell me which graphics card I have, what size the fan is, which fans would fit it, etc.
[strike]The best I can figure out is that it's a 90mm fan? [/strike] Update: They just told me it's an 85mm fan.

Will you help me find a replacement? I'm also worried that I may be damaging my graphics card by using it while it's got one fan out. My computer has like 4-5 powerful fans in it blowing the air out. Should I not be using it until I replace the fan?

Solution
ya , thing is you cant go larger fan size [wount fit in the shroud hole ] and then its the mounting arms of the fans are hard to match up for the screw holes to line up

I pulled a fan out of a old 6850 card and put in a 7850 the fan was ssmaller and the mounting was all wrong but a drop or 2 of super glue resolved that

just scabbed it in and all works well and saved that card .

I guess its a big deal for these manufactures like sapphire to keep some extra fans around to send / sell when one is needed . its easier for you to buy a new card then a fan

''But don't search for the fan using the item number'' as long as the mounting part is the same , but for me 3 small drops of super glue fixed that if a...

I ended up just buying this fan:

For other people experiencing the same problem; look at the back of the fan and buy a replacement fan based on the information on that sticker. But don't search for the fan using the item number, those listings always cost 4-5x more.
Just search the graphics card itself, the series of the card, or in my case I searched "Vapor X 85mm fan."
