I Have decide to build my own gaming PC, and would like peoples oppinions on the components i have decided on.

Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor
Gigabyte Z68X-UD5 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Two lots of Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit (as the i7 only supports duel RAM)
Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 6990 (bitt ott but its looks awsome)
Corsair Professional Series Gold AX1200 High Performance 1200W Modular Power Supply
Intel 320 Series 80GB 2.5" SATA-II 25nm Solid State Hard Drive
2x Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Samsung SH-B123L/RSBP 12x BluRay ROM DVDRW DL & RAM Lightscribe SATA-II Optical Drive
All housed in a Antec 1200 Twelve Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case

Im trying somewhat to futerproof it.

Any comments or criticism would be appreciated; I think it’s all compatible, theas are not just components I have pulled out of the air I have done a fair bit of hunting around, looking at reviews and that, just need some experts opinions.

thats a nice setup youve got there, but have you though of getting a aftermarket cooler for your CPU, such as the kuhler 620? it would really help if you want to overclock in the future. other than that youve got a great system there! also have you thought of getting two hybrid ssd 7200rpm, 500GB drives since your budget is so high?:

yer i think aditonal cooling will be in order, further down the line, and Hybrid SSD could be possable. well i was unsure about how much faster a SSD would really be?

an SSD is a lot faster than a HDD i would definetely use that 80gb SSD as your boot drive, it will give you fantastic boot times and great application load time and overall performance.
