My Wd disc drive shows up in bios but will not show up in windows

I have a new build (i7 8700k, asus rog strix Z370-E, etc) and I just installed my SSD first to get the OS up and running (win 10). I then installed my 2TB western digital sata disc drive. It shows up in the bios screen but it does not appear to be available to use. What am I doing wrong? Sorry, extreme newbie!

Did you check in Device manager and Disk management ? It should show in both. If it does it's probably not initialized if new or have no letter assigned to it if it was already initialized and formatted.
