Question My WD My Passport is connecting to my Windows but not my MAC

It is formatted to appear on both and I have used it on my Mac for months, all of a sudden it is no longer recognised. It does not appear in Disk Utility either.

The light comes on but stays on (does not blink). When I plug it into a windows laptop it will open and I have access to all my files with no problems.

I have searched the internet for solutions and found nothing helpful.

Please help...

Do you have any other USB devices available to test the Mac's USB port?

Have you tried reinstalling the Mac drivers?

Do confirm that I have identified the correct driver.

Any chance that the drivers updated automatically and may have been buggy or corrupted?

The USB port is working as my USB works just fine in it. I have tried putting it in other USB ports on my laptop with no success.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Mac drivers from that site today and still no luck.
