Hi.

I have a weird issue with my wifi adapter.

this problem happened just suddenly out of nowhere I guess.

suddenly my ping starts to go about 40-100 and my download speed goes very very slow about 45 kB, So I formatted the whole laptop a lot of times and re-installed the newest drivers but nothing changed, I started to look through a lot of articles in the internet in order to solve this, until I found it, some guy said that you have to edit your router settings and set the encryption from AES/TKIP to only TKIP.

it actually worked!, the problem is when I take my laptop to public places I can't just edit there router settings you know, so it's hard to deal with it, once I connect to a AES/TKIP network I get very bad signal, and the only way to make it work is by edit the encryption which is kinda hard in public places.

I tried a different adapter still the same

my adapter: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265

.

TKIP is an older encryption method usually the router will use both for compatibility. If you can not use wpa2 aes I would suggest you have a very old nic.

Edit: just read your post again and your nic isn't that old. Try setting to wpa/wpa2 aes/tkip auto. Have you messed with the advanced setting on the nic at all??

can you explain what is "nic".

also as I said I formatted the windows a lot of time, which means there is letteraly no software or apps, and still the same

I have a G551VW Asus laptop

# I installed the driver through intel software.

NIC = network interface card.
You will have a wired nic and a wireless nic. In device manager they will be under network adapters.
