I have a Toshiba Satellite P55T-A116 about 1 month old. It has Windows 8. After half a month, the WiFi started to work incorrectly and the Toshiba Support website told me to uninstall the driver and let windows install it automatically. After a few tries it worked. I had to do this around 3 times until last week. I did the same thing and uninstalled but then it never appeared again. Since then I have been using the Ethernet cable. I really need help on solving this problem.

The brand of my wifi card is Intel

Download the driver from here:

For Windows 8 x64(Drivers only), download: Wireless_17.0.2_De64.exe
For WIndows 8 x86, (Drivers Only), download: Wireless_17.0.2_De32.exe
For Windows 8 x64 (drivers and software), download: Wireless_17.0.2_e64.exe
For Windows 8 x86 (drivers and software) download: Wireless_17.0.2_e32.exe

I hope this may help.

I already installed the driver but am I supposed to do something else? There is still no driver showing up even after restart.

You may have to reinstall Windows. Or your WiFi adapter might be dead.

Would buying an exterior WiFi adapter work?
