My wifi Card

My Wifi card stopped working today and i went on the settings box for it and i clicked Virtual WIFI and it connected to it why did that happen, will this slow my performance of internet while gaming, and what does virtual Wifi do anyways

Ok so i just tried running battlefield 3 and i was running a ping of 500 then i went to csgo i was running a ping of 10000... I cant fit my old wifi Motherboard card in ht emotherboard anymore because of the slot being taken up by the Graphics card the Graphics card covers its slot... Im chaning to intel and geting a ATX motherboard for it then ill be able to have that card back in there.... the wifi usb i have right now ALFA Network AWUS036AC AC1200 USB Wireless adapter Dual Band...
