my wifi option desapears

I have a Dell Inspiron 3542 with windows 8.1 and i have a big problem with the wifi. What is happening is that the wifi option magicly desapears from my laptop, it's as if the laptop never had this option. This problem sometimes happens, but in most cases it is like this. I've tried everything already. I reset the laptop 3 times and still have the same problem. Download the dell support program to help me but it did not help. Of course I'm working from another borrowed laptop because with mine I do not have any access to the internet. I hope you help me solve my problem as soon as possible. Thanks

Try connecting the laptop via Ethernet cord. If it works like that but not via WiFi, then the WiFi card may be dead or dying. This would mean you would have to either replace the internal one, or get yourself an external one that connects to the computer via a USB port.
