My windows 10 PC has been stuck in a loop for two days where it will boot up to a screen with a blue windows logo with the text "Preparing Automatic Update" after a while of displaying this it turns off and restarts. There have been some cases where it freezes and will proceed to stay on or a screen where I need to select a keyboard type however provides me no option to select one. I have looked online and seen similar problems however they get to a screen after the automatic updates whereas my PC just turns off. I will be extremely grateful for any assistance thank you.

any specs will be available on request.

Firstly you need a copy of this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

Create a windows 10 install USB or DVD - we need it to get into system if nothing else
Change bios to boot of a USB or DVD (which ever you make) and boot pc.
ON 1st screen, enter language
On second screen, select Repair this pc, NOT INSTALL
Select Troubleshoot
Select advanced
Select Start up Repair - this will ask for your logon details and then see if it can fix anything

If this doesn't work, you can try this: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139576-startup-repair-infinite-loop-recovery.html though it is for win 7 and the way you need to use to get to advanced start has changed, you would nbeed to follow the steps I set out...

If they don't fix it, boot from installer, select repair this pc and on first menu choose reset PC. Choose keep my files and settings and it will reinstall Win 10 again - you will lose all your programs though.
