I built a windows 10 gaming PC, and it seems to be turning itself on at 8am every day automatically. Does anyone know why it may be doing this, or how I can stop it from doing so? I'm currently just unplugging it every night but I'm curious as to why it happens.

Hi,
You must chance the Energy settings:
Start > type ener > in the list click 'Energy options' > on the left panel cklick 'Change computer settings for power etc (sorry I have a Swedish model) > In the new menu, below click 'Change advanced settings' > new window will appear > Expand Power safe options > expand 'Allow wake up timers => Disable

Best regards from Sweden

Ps. Here is other ways, a little bit more complicated:
MS: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/windows-10-keeps-waking-up-from-sleep-in-the/58052fd3-87fe-4457-aeaf-974b5ea15080?auth=1

Go for this before the MS alternative:

I have a Windows 8.1 Pro machine that does this at 3am every morning. I've gone through every setting I could find in the BIOS and Event Scheduler...even called Microsoft...nothing worked and MS had no clue why it was doing this. To this day, it does the same thing unless turned off at the PSU.

Not sure if it's a bug or what, but it is annoying and I'm interested to see if anyone can explain this. Of all the machines I've built with Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, there is only one that has this behavior and it's identical hardware to 2 other machines, that don't do it.
