My Windows 7 home premium system is activated, but it will not validate. I keep getting that "not genuine" error.

I have an HP touchsmart running the 64-bit operating system. Windows 7 Home Premium was pre-installed when I bought the computer. There is no Windows 7 OS disc, however I made a recovery disc after the initial setup of the computer. I tried to use this disc to no avail. How do I get rid of that annoying "not genuine Windows" message. My Windows is activated and I have a product ID number, but it won't VALIDATE!
