jkhoward, what Dane means is, when he bought his computer everything - including all the device drivers he needed, was already installed and operationational. Where are you from jk? Because even here in small, little, third-world South Africa , we buy fully installed machines. Your devices still arrive in boxes and the drivers are on floppy disks aren't they?
Since Dane bought his pc, he has downloaded the latest drivers using Windows Update and by selecting update driver in the driver tab in properties of each individual device in device manager etc via control panel, and now all update attempts are being denied.
Did I forget anything Dane? Probably not, I had the same problem with driver updates but I found quite a few ways to fix it, depending on your pc and what's on it. Which means I need to know what machine you have, the specs of all the devices you need drivers for and which edition of Windows 7 you running. Then we can start fixing.
