P.S. i don't care about windows booting fast or apps start fast all i care about is gaming performance

It will speed up loading the game and in-game loading, but will not necessarily increase your FPS.

I would always have the ssd as my windows drive.
It makes everything quicker.
Of course, the best of all worlds would be to use a ssd for both.

Budget permitting, I would buy a ssd sufficiently large enough to hold the used portion of your HDD plus room for expansion.
Clone your HDD C drive to the ssd.
Repurpose your HDD as external backup.
