Hello maybe I am in the wrong place but i didnt see any topic related to this one.

I have a problem with my windows 10 in the last 2-3 months, windows take around 5 minutes to turn on, it is very slow, I believe that happened right after i updated my Graphics Driver via Driver Booster 6 and after that the pc started to turn on slow and it lags a lot also.

Anyone can help me how to boost it up ?

I forgot to mention that there was or is a forum that you post computer problems and the staff members are telling u to download certain applications to scan and see what is happening with your computer and they are telling you what to do after.

But i forgot the forum so i found this one on google.

What kind of graphics hardware does your system have? If you had problems after updating your graphics driver with a utility, it might be best to re-install the latest driver downloaded directly from Nvidia, AMD, or Intel's website instead (depending on what graphics hardware you have). It's difficult to know exactly what a "driver booster" might have done to the system, and it's possible that it could have replaced other drivers as well.

My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650. I downloaded and installed the latest graphics card driver from the Nvidia GeForce Experience program. And the pc is kind of faster now. but its not like it used to be when it turned on for less than a minute.

But is it related to Windows? Where are you stuck while loading? Windows logo or what?

My Computer usually takes about 5 minutes to load into the start menu.

I am not stuck it just takes slow time to load the Desktop and stuff.

I just did a full virus scan and guess what? I have no viruses.

I know I have no viruses because I don't watch porn or download cracks or other files of that type.

Are you using a hard drive? if yes, is it near full because some hard drive can slow down when reach near their max capacity. It can also happen on some SSD's as well

I just uninstalled Advanced System Care and right after that I restarted my computer.

It turned on in 3 minutes and 40 seconds, 03:40:17 according to my phones stopwatch.

03:40:17 is still pretty slow.

Btw why do you think that Advanced System Care slows the PC up when it is an optimization tool?

It says it is an optimization tool.
In theory, it scans your system for things that it thinks it can turn off, turn on, speed up, change settings, etc, etc, etc.

In reality...all that scanning takes forever to actually do when you boot up.
And it actually does little.

I've not seen any of these 'optimization' things that actually do any good. The OS is pretty good at keeping itself straight.

I've seen brand new laptops brought to their knees from having multiple "scanners" or "optimizers" running. Stepping all over each other, eating CPU, RAM, and drive resources.

What else do you have running?

And "Driver Booster" is yet another one of those snake oil applications.
It did its job, however, and extracted 15 euro from you.

And that's ALL it does.
Uninstall it.

Whatever other optimization or booster or 'fixit' things you have installed...uninstall them.

Also consider installing and scanning your pc with MalwareBytes, Spybot S&D and Hitman Pro. These search not only for viruses, but Trojans, pups and all sorts of other crap. Also try CCleaner. It will find broken, unused dlls and links and help you keep the pc clean.

I just uninstalled Driver Booster and the PC turned on in 2 minutes and 32 seconds or 02:32:21 according to my mobile's stopwatch.

Which is still pretty slow compared to the times when it turned on to desktop in less than a minute.

So we've gone from 5 minutes down to 2.5 mins, simply by uninstalling 2 pieces of junk software.
Cut it in half.

What else is in there screwing up the works?

I am doing that now, although I installed the latest Graphics Card update via the Nvidia Geforce Experience program and the computer is still slow and laggy.
