Hi, I just bought an emachine desktop windows vista from the thrift store. I installed the max amount of ram required. I tried to connect my hp wireless printer. Tho it came up that it was installed successfully and was connected to my network, it will not respond. My windows 7 laptop however responds fine with the printer...any suggesstions would be greatly appreciated!! And yes its set as default too...

Went to HP's website - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5385254&

They have drivers for both Vista 32-bit and Vista 64-bit - make sure you have the proper driver installed first.

Next - are you able to see the other computers on the network? Can you access their shares? (this is a test to make sure you are connected properly).

If all is still not working - they have a trouble shooting guide:

Hi ronintexas, I'm sorry, but I really didn't understand your answer.. I connected my hp all in one desk jet first via my internet network to my windows 7n laptop. Then 2 weeks later I found an older vista desktop that I had to get an internet adapter card for to go online, then I connected my printer to that and it says I'm connected wirelessly to it, yet i get no response when i try to print from my desktop.. but i do with my laptop..So yes, my desktop i'm assuming has windows vista drivers.
