I have installed a new WD SATA drive in my XP system. When I check BIOS, it is identified. When I try to partition it in Disk Management, there is no drive there. I have two other PATA drives installed- one Master, one Slave.
How can I fix this?

1. You may need to install the SATA drivers
2. You may need to enable IDE mode in the BIOS
3. You may need to check that you connected the SATA digital cable on the No 1 SATA header of the motherboard
4. If still nothing, use a Partition Managing application to format and partition it...

Check in Disk Management after every action
