My wireless button does not work

The wireless button on my hp pavilion dv6 has stopped working all it says is disabled tried going through the wireless assistant but it didn't help too...pls what should i do?????

Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager -- see if the wireless adapter is yellow flagged as faulty and why.

If Windows has updated itself lately, maybe look for a newer driver for the adapter.
