My wireless card keeps disconnecting when I connect to my home wifi

Basically when i connect to my home wifi my wireless card gets disabled, it then tells me that it cannot connect to the network, and re-enables, i am currently using my phone to tether and use the internet but it is slow and randomly disconnects

Have you tried the basic troubleshooting steps like using the Windows Network Diagnostics tool, power cycling modem + router, checking to see your antennae are properly screwed into your wifi card, checking for loose connections between the wall and your modem, etc.?

I restarted everything and moved my wireless card into a different pcie slot and now its connecting, it has been running significantly slower but it seems to be fixed

There are pci based wifi cards listed as pci-e on the box that don't play nice with the motherboard unless you manually set the slot it's in to run at either 1x or 4x, whichever it was originally designed to run with. Even mine, which is relatively new, refused to run in any slot greater than 1x unless I manually set the slot in bios to run at 1x speeds. Thankfully, my current motherboard has a dedicated 1x slot for these kinds of cards.
