I got the full kit from Xoxide, it was my first online purchase. I got it because it's the only aftermarket cooler that fits inside ATi's factory shim(so it doesnt have to be removed)
I havent tried going crazy with the overclocks yet, but I ran rhtblwxyz for about twenty minutes @410/315 with no worries. I'm really happy. Here's a couple of pictures :smile:

i wish i had known you were gonna get one man i wouldve have basically gave ya the one i had, only used it for about a month, and i didnt have a fan for it. i also got mine from xoxide. but congrats anyways.

can u give me the link to download that direct X 9 benchmark, i've been testing my Radeon 9700pro with a the same zalman cooler and fan, was able to complete a 3dmark run at 400/351. But need to stress test it more. Also I still felt I would get better contact if I removed the shim, which I did.
 
Not bad, you could use some cable management in your case though 😛 I've been thinking about buying one myself, maybe I'll break down and get one in the next week or so.

Very interesting. How loud is that fan compared to the stock one? I am not really OC'in many of my cards, especially not the R9500pro and R9800Pro, but someday may find it fun to do. I just can't stomach frying one of my best cards. With quite a large home LAN, I need them to last a long time.

that option fan it not loud when u have it at the low setting. And at high it about as loud as an HSF, I'd say close to 35db.

I'm currently doing 400core on my RAdeon 9700pro with it on the lower setting. But then again my room temps are very good. about 18c in my room right now
 
I cant tell if it's loud or not Paul, I have eight noisy case fans. It does have the option of running 5v or 12v, so I would imagine that it's pretty quite. All the reviews I've read on it attest to this also.

I've been very happy with my Zalman on my Ti4200...I've run it at 310/620 for 4 months with no problems, feels slightly warm to the touch after use.

Yeah the rthdribl demo can be found <A HREF="http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl/index.html" target="_new">HERE</A> (didn't use it on the W2K benchies for time reasons)

Very nice dude, It's too bad you can't take advantage of the quiet, but I know what you mean about case fans, mine are whispers, and still they overwhelm the R9600P, so I'm sure that big Zal-fan is quiet in comparison.

You mean the cartoons that are added in the THGC album? I don't remember I've had them for a very long time (on floppies which I had to burn from my laptop (no floppy on either my gaming or editing rigs). It was a Hanah Barbera cartoon when I was a kid, and I got the name because of my love of concord grapes. The name stuck. Also I have the "The Great Grape Ape" board game even. 😎

Like I said in the pics page, I wanted just 'GrapeApe', but that was taken (haven't seen anyone use it though), so I went with the FullName.

I hope that's what your question was about, or else that's alot of writing about nothing.

got the direct 9 benchmark, and ran it. I can run 400core for benchmarks without glitches no problem. But playing Mohaa apearhead for 30mins or so I saw glitches. I would assume a voltage mod would allow me to run 400core without, but I don't think i'm gonna do that for now. Will probably just stick to Radeon 9800pro speeds for now.

Also the new unreal tournament demo runs great on the 9700pro.
 
What do you mean "glitches"?....if you push your core too far, you'll see snow or little white dots appearing all over the screen, or sometimes in certain areas.
