Hey guys,

Let's say I have a Myr Servitor in my graveyard and one in play. It's
the "Beginning of my upkeep" and the graveyard Servitor comes into
play.
At this very moment, would it be possible to begin an infinite
recursion combo?
Specifically, say when the g-yard Myr Servitor comes into play I sac
him to my Grinding Station and mill for 3.After I do that,is is still
considered the "Beginning of my upkeep" ?
If it was,I could bring back my just sacced Servitor, triggering the
Grinding Station to Untap, and repeat all during the "beginning of my
upkeep"? Or is this not possible?
I suspect it's not,but there's so many other ridiculous infinite
combos now,I figured that this might work as well. Thanks for any
input.

Myr Servitor
1
Artifact Creature - Myr
At the beginning of your upkeep, if Myr Servitor is in play, each player
returns all cards named Myr Servitor from his or her graveyard to play.
1/1

The basic answer is that no, this combo does not work. Myr Servitor has
a triggered ability whose triggering condition is "At the beginning of
your upkeep". Your upkeep only begins once per turn (or not at all if
Eon Hub is in the picture, but let's assume it's not); at that point
anything that triggers at the beginning of your upkeep goes on the
stack. That's the only time such abilities can go on the stack until
your next turn rolls around. So you can pull a Servitor from the
graveyard, then sack it to Grinding Station, just fine, but by the time
all that happens the beginning of your upkeep is long past and you won't
be able to retrieve the Servitor until the next time an upkeep step of
yours begins.

Er, no. If it's the beginning of your upkeep, the one in play TRIGGERS.

_Nothing else happens right then_. The triggered ability doesn't even get
to go on the stack yet; it has to wait until a player (you, in this case)
tries to get priority ... and even by that time we are PAST THE TIME in
this turn when the ability could trigger.

Nope. The graveyard Myr can't possibly appear until some time DURING your
upkeep, after it's too late for anything that triggers 'at the beginning of
your upkeep' to trigger. Similarly, if DURING your end-of-turn step an
"at end of turn" ability appears on something, it's too late for it to
trigger that turn.

Nope. You can't even have the triggered ability of the first one on the stack
yet, by the time "beginning of upkeep" is over. NO ACTIONS ARE LEGAL TO TAKE
at that point in time; the rulebook doesn't say any are done then (unlike,
say, beginning of draw step or beginning of cleanup step), and nobody has
priority to take any either

<snip rest>

No, "Beginning of <step>" happens only once per step.

As <step> begins all effects that trigger "At beginning of <step>" go
onto the stack. After that it is no longer "the beginning", and _then_
you get priority and can do stuff.

Er, no. The effect that will return the graveyard Servitor will *trigger*
at the beginning of your upkeep, but it will not *resolve* until the
beginning has passed.

No.

No. It's not even still the "beginning of your upkeep" *before* you
do that. It is the "beginning of your upkeep" for one infinitesimal
moment, during which nothing happens, because nothing has time to happen.
Then, after the beginning of your upkeep is over, the game state checks
to see if anything triggered, and if it did, puts it on the stack.

That's not possible. The beginning of your upkeep has long since passed.
