Can anybody send me a saved gamefile after finishing the chair ?

I don't know how to complete the puzzle within the time. Is my mouse broken?

Thanks.

Have you got the patch?

<http://www.ubi.com/US/Downloads/Info.htm?dlId=708>

That's the windows one. There is also a Mac patch.

All the best,

I tried downloading the patch for Mac from a couple of different
sources and ended up with what appeared on my machine to be an html
file. (I'm using a G5 with 10.3.) Anyone have any advice about
getting/using the patch.

Thanks

Using IE still resulted in an htm file. I went back to Safari,
control-clicked on the link, chose "Dave file to . . . " and the java
thingie downloaded. You have to be brave to apply it, though, since
it's an intaller that looks just like the initial installer. I just
kept clicking okay and it installed. I guess the whole thing was
written by Wintel people.

Now to play.

You may not have the gears set correctly.
If they are correct, the sounds emitted when you move the sliders will sound
musical, not
wavering droning noises. Maybe you're not counting notches from the correct
starting point.

Yes, that was the problem. But it's still hard.

Have you succeeded in "affecting" any of the four crystals?
You can only get up out of the "throne" in two areas: at the top, and at
the second stop down (where
you can see the four crystals in the round cases ... and then only if you
can "affect" all four crystals at once.
The papers strewn all around Sirrus' sleeping quarters will guide you. Did
you find them all?
One paper isn't actually close to the others, it's on a different level.
Does this help?
