So, I have a problem. I had 4 gb of ram, now my computer is only reading 2. It is espiecally strange since my first guess would be that one of the sticks fried somehow. However, this motherboard requires both sticks to be of the same gb and both plugged in to work. So if one fried, the other shouldn't work either.
I just upgraded to Windows 7 64bit a couple of months ago, and I wonder if that has something to do with it.
My computer is homebuilt with these specs:
Intel Pentium D CPU 3.4 GHZ
It is reading 2.00 gb of Ram. I believe it is DDR2 if I remember correctly
Graphics card is a SPARKLE SFPX98GTX+512D3 GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3
Motherboard is: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3L LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel
It was reading the full 4 gb after installing Windows 7. Now it is not, so it probably isn't directly related? Any ideas on why it isn't reading it fully?
