I have at least 20 keyboards (I need to stay out of thrift shops!) but I found one I just love. It is a Logitech wave type wireless keyboard. I scoured the net looking for info on it using every number printed on it. It has "M/N: " and a number-but no, that was not a valid model number. The only thing close was the FCC ID number. Extremely unhelpful. I looked at probably every Logitech keyboard ever made and could not find a match.
I was starting to wonder if I bought this in a Thrift Shop or the Twilight Zone.
Then I found it! It was on Ebay:

Here is my problem: I tried connecting it with a Logitech wireless USB-but the old one, not the Unifying Wireless USB. No go. (BTW-I'll try it with their Unifying doodad when it is delivered because I have a bunch of other Logitech keyboards and mice with the orange star which signifies you need the Unifying receiver. Ugg! This is why standards are good).

The only unique thing about this keyboard is the word "SecureConnect" under the PageUp/PageDown group of keys. There is very little info on that too, as far as I found. My guess is it was an abandoned protocol.
So how do I connect this? It was part of a mouse/keyboard combo and I read somewhere if you don't have both you cannot connect either. Yeah I know that sounds bizarre, and it is probably just some random internet misinformation. But I wouldn't put it past Logitech.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Update! It works!! I found an L shaped Logitech USB receiver that works. It has a USB wire and an old school green keyboard connector for the keyboard port in the back of the computer. It says "Logitech" and "connect" with a push button...not "SecureConnect" like the keyboard says, just "connect".
I just plugged the USB in, and didn't even press the "connect" button-it just worked! Oh,and I just used a junky usb no-name wired mouse.
I paid 2 bucks for it at a thrift store. Nice keyboard!
If anyone needs a pic, just let me know.
