Yeah, while things hardware-related have been looking WAY up over the last year, there are still a few things that I just can't seem to find. So without further ado, some things I'd like to see! (And if they exist already please enlighted a poor sap like me).
1) Overclocking mATX board.
Why exactly in this day and age do I need a huge ATX form-factor? Desktop computers haven't gotten smaller for an ETERNITY. What I want is a nice compact mATX board that overlocks with the best of them - but it's virtually impossible to find any without onboard video. I want to build nice compact machine - all I need is 1 16xPCIe (who needs sli or crossfire.. stupid marketing gimmicks), 1 PCIex1 (soundcard) and 1-2 PCI for possible wireless card upgrade and tuner card.
2) Nice mATX case design
Why is it that the xQpack or whatever it's called these days is the only mATX case that is anywhere close to looking reasonably interesting? If only it would lose the ridiculous "carrying handle"... how could they possibly think a flimsy plastic piece of sh!t glued to the front of the case would a good idea. Yeah I'm really going to trust $1000 worth of hardware to that thing.. mmmhmm.
3) A working and hassle-free HD tuner/capture card so that my newly superpowerful PC can be used as a real PVR and to store the shows and such that I want to, when I want to, how I want to, and not with some ridiculously overpriced ADDITIONAL piece of hardware like the cable companies' boxes. Is this really so hard to accomplish? Apparently the answer is to that is yes.
4) A VISTA / LEOPARD / LINUX hybrid OS that combines the best features of all three. It's about time... nuf said. Mmmm.. can o worms
5) I'll add more if I think of any..
