Myy H.d. device loud sound

I got new H.D. device and every time it loaded anything even scroll key in the mouse device it begin to make rough sound, and i very disturbance from that sound how could i make? or what's actually the problem? how can i overcome this problem?

What is this H.D. Device? a HDD or a HD peripheral? Please be specific with what equipment has been bought and what equipment it is connected to.

Maybe sound is coming from cooling fan(s) - Possible?

It sounds like you have a bad drive and might want to get it replaced.

Searching /access sounds are common for HDDs, but if they are out of the ordinary (too loud, for instance), the HDD may be damaged . It can be it's age or it can be damaged in transit (moving parts can do that).

Damaged in shipping, or just a lemon from the manufacturer, I mean. If it is new, you can get it RMA'd (return and exchange).
