Hey Group,
I just got back from N. Myrtle Beach yesterday & I went into
the Arcade at the End on Main Street in Ocean Drive ( on the beach ) &
couldnt believe the games I saw, Scared Stiff, Creech,
TAF, TOTANs, & a Slug-fest,, I played ALL of them & they were 100 %
working & other than the HUGE Lack-Bars, These games were as nice as
ANY I Own ,, What a Great Find !! Made me sick knowing this OP WILL NOT
sell to the public, Anyone going to the Beach in SC should check these
out !!! It was easier to find Pins than it was finding a Gas Station
that still had Gas though =( .

Pin-Del,

man, if those games are as nice as you own, make sure I never buy anything
from you. I was just there a couple of weeks ago and those machines are
pretty beat. Filthy playfields, lights out, weak flippers. Doubt they
fixed them that quick, they were that way a few months ago too.

If you want nice machines go to the putt-putt on the left side as you are
coming into Cherry Grove off of 9. Don't remember the name of the place and
the exact line up, but the machines were in much better shape.

I thought finding a line-up like that was a Great Find by it-self !!

The Putt-Putt place has been there for close to 25 years & I never knew
they had Pins
I lived there over 10 years & I was Manager of OD Arcade & Grill before
it was turned into a Bar Across the street from these games. ( Ocean
Drive )

The OP who owns those games is running his Business from a Hospital
Room & I know
for a Fact, He Wouldnt sell you the Time of Day much less selling me
any of those Games,

BTW, John,
You WOULDNT want any of MY games, Oh but wait !!! I dont
have any for Sale =)

Pin-Del, =)

I'll be back there on the 23rd & 24th ,

I try to stay away from Myrtle Beach ( Traffic -Locals ) & go to North
Myrtle beach & Cherry Grove,

I did go to the "Bass-Pro Shop" =).

No Pins there, but a Heck of a nice Place =)

Del,
Hey, I'll take your games if you're giving them away;-) But
seriously folks....... I am sure you have a nice collection Del, Bret
had nothing but good things to say about you when he was here picking
up his Strange Science. If you are looking for a new game or have room
for another you should talk to Bret as his family is not happy with the
dificulty of the SS and he is looking to get rid of it already. And if
you do decide to give away those games you have...... I am available
for pick up!

Hi Del,

I just got back from Myrtle Beach yesterday too. I went to the arcades at
the front beach area by Ripleys, and found these pins:

* Rocky & Bullwinkle: very nice condition and played well
* RFM: nice condition, but turned up to MAX volume
* Demo Man: took my coins, wouldn't coin up
* TG:HS2: dirty with bouncing flippers. but played well otherwise
* Starship T: very weak left flipper
* TAF: Ball stuck on playfield, "Pinball Missing" message, but finally
coined and played. Strong flippers
* RBION: didn't play it
* Monopoly (at Holiday Inn Beach Front): miserable machine. Monopoly is one
of my favs, and this one was a beater. Missing rubber on rotating flipper.
ball got stuck at cop target and ramp entrance and never came loose. Game
timed out.

I also went to Garden City Pavillion, where they had:

* LOTR: nice condition
* T3: fair condition, RPG game defective
* HRC: Good condition.

Hope this info is useful to visitors to MB. Also, be warned that most
arcades are three tokens for one dollar! Yikes!

didn't mean to rag on your games, just wanted to point out how bad those
machines were. I am always on the look out for games where ever I go and I
go to N. Myrtle a lot. I hate the crowds and traffic if you go further down
to Myrtle. I have also been to OD Arcade and Grill a couple of times. They
have about 3 games now and they seem to be a little better than those across
the street that you were talking about. Still the best was the putt-putt.
Garden City, like another poster suggested, is also good.
