Hi im new to posting on this site but have used it to solve issues before, i have noticed that i get an application called Name Not Available in my Volume mixer. I have tried to look for fixes online but it seems like for most people it plays the radio or ads but for me its totally silent. It seems to go away for a while if i restore my pc or run a clean boot then it comes back again. (seems to be when i run Warframe on steam but cant be too sure) i have run malwarebytes and norton on my pc but they say that its clear any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks,

Solution
I can't see any links between it and synaptics so I got nothing. Just ignore it and see if that other thing comes back. If it does, might help to see what is running that isn't normal.

Okay thank you all of my start up programmes are identifiable apart from one which is just called "Programme" i checked the command line and found its linked to synaptics and i have no idea what that is.

Thanks.

its a custom built pc with a Gigabyte Z170-GAMING K3 Socket 1151 Z170 Express DDR4 S-ATA 600 ATX Motherboard

So i guess you don't have a touch screen? Can you show me the command line and it might tell us more.

try disabling that program and see what doesn't work - yes, very scientific :)

we still don't know if it is this that makes item appear in sound mixer.

is there anything here that rings a bell as to why you might have it on PC? http://www.synaptics.com/

I dont have a touch screen and cant see the whole command line so would only be giving you part of the command ("C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPE...) I also disabled this last night but have yet to see anything that no longer works

C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exe

Synaptics touchpad tray icon. Displays status and provides quick launch to touchpad features such as scrolling and tap zones. Required on IBM Thinkpads with UnltraNav (pointstick and touchpad combo) if you don't want to loose the advanced pointstick features such as scroll

you may not have a touchpad on PC but you have the drivers... um, see if you can uninstall them

I cant seem to uninstall them it says that the specified module could not be found

does it show in device manager under Mice & pointing devices?
might also find it under mouse properties in control panel.

if you have it disabled might just be able to ignore it. Its name might mean its a left over from something previously removed.

what mouse do you use?

its not in the device menu and seems like i might be able to just ignore it the mouse i am currently using is Corsair Gaming CH-9303011-EU

okay brilliant thanks for all your help :)

Glad to help :)
