NAS for streaming to chromecast

I'm looking for a NAS to back up my files to and put all my movies in and stream them to my chromecast 2. I found two to be suitable and financially acceptable: Synology DS218play and Asustor AS3202T. I am using plex on my PC and would like to use it on the NAS too. The Asustor is capable of running it and Synology isn't but Synology has a similar app, DS video. I am undecided because these two NAS devices cost the same; Synology is supposedly easier to use but Asustor is more powerful and can run plex. Please give some advice on which I should go with. I'm not sure about performance on these but for Plex you don't need very much power for LAN streaming at native quality. It's the on-the-fly compression that needs a powerful cpu. I run plex off of an AMD e350 laptop, which is very slow.
