NAS & SAN

So after going in this forum, I bumped into this section, NAS/RAID but, what is NAS anyway?

I wish someone could explain it to me in a non-wikipedia simple for dummies way

And there are a lot of differences with SAN?

San is STORAGE AREA NETWORK

SAN is very expensive and usually used with hi performance server networks at a large business.

NAS is anywhere from 100$ to thousands.

So NAS works for client PCs and servers
SAN works for a lot of things :S
