I obtained the National Geographic collection on CD. However it is for Win
95. Is there any way to run it in XP?

Goto My Computer then click on the CD Drive the N.G.
cd is in and right click on Open..

In there, should be a main exe file.. Right click it and at the
top, you will see "General, Version, Compatibility"..

Click On The "Compatibility" Tab at the top, now click the
box for "Run this problem in compatibility mode for", then
in the drop box below make sure W95 is selected..

Also because it's W95 click on the following check boxes
for the things below..

"Disable Visual Themes"
"Turn off advanced text services for this program"

If the exe you choose didnt work, try doing it a few others
in the main directly for the cd only.. If all else fails try all in
that same root directory..

Also if you then get it to work and have graphic problems
viewing stuff, redo this again but choose "Run in 256 colors" as well..

Try Compatibility Mode: Right-click the executable file, select Properties, click on the Compatibility tab, select the 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' check box and select 'Windows 95' in the list. Click OK and run the program.

Have you tried? If so, what happened when you did?

If somebody wanted to hire me to come over and put a ten year old
windows 95 program on their new XP box I'm not sure I'd take the call.
