Hi folks

I just picked up an NEC MultiSync LCD 3090WQXi very cheap secondhand, but am having an issue with it.

I have it connected to a GeForce GTX 750 and am running Linux Mint 19.

At the native resolution of 2560x1600, text is pixelated and illegible.

Dropping the resolution to 1600x1200 makes the text legible but it is still pixelated.

I can't figure out how to insert images into a forum post here, so I've uploaded screen captures showing the driver & display settings and the pixelated text at the two resolutions to my Google Drive.

After doing some experimentation, watching videos, viewing images etc, it's clearly a Linux problem, nothing wrong with the graphics drivers etc, must be a font problem, but I have no idea how to fix it.

The problem is with the Cinnamon desktop manager, I switched to MATE and things have improved, but I still can't get text to look right. I'll try XFCE as well, but I might have to try installing windows .
