Hi,
I was thinking today, and realized that my Quadro DCC only supports 1280x1024 on the DVI. Now, I'll be buying an LCD as soon as FFD, and all the stuff I've been talking comes out. Thing is it'll be a 19-21" LCD, probably at 1600x1200 native res. I think I read somewhere a modification can be made to the video card to allow it to crank up the res on the DVI. Anyone heard of this?

My frog asked me for a straw...dunno what happened he's all over the place

That's a bummer.

The good news is the SVGA connection on LCD panels is really good now. At least that's what I hear.

Hey there Flame,
I thought that the following thread may be of interest to you:
<A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/ce/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=9420#9420" target="_new">http://forumz.tomshardware.com/ce/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=9420#9420</A>

So it may all depend on how your Quadro handles the analog output. I remember reading of a site a while back about all the possible mods to the GF cards, I'll see if I can find it again.

IMO, analog is still inadequate- if u look at a lcd for example my TFT7020 w/ digital, damnit it's much sharper, and that's what I like. If the modifitcation went wierd, it'd be the quadro that goes, not the LCD. I don't want to get a new quadro b/c quadro 4 isn't that big a deal; I'm waiting for quadro 5.
