So I bought this mic
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G230-Stereo-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00BFOEY4I

At first I ithought it connected through USB so I was going to buy a USB extension but then I noticed that it connected through jack so I need help with what I should buy,

Does buying a 3.5 jack extension make the mic quality worst or makes it lag?
Also since the connectors are both male (of course) do I just buy 2 female extensions? or do they have to be some kind of exclusive for only 'mics' and 'audio'?

Solution
There is no specific 3.5mm cable for mics, they are all the same but come in both mono and stereo. Your headset appears to use 2x standard 3.5mm stereo cables, so 2x stereo extensions should work fine.

I have used this one with both mics and speakers:

You may lose a small amount of signal strength and if you buy a cheap extension there may be a small amount of noise but you shouldn't experience any lag. As long as you buy a decent cable you should be fine. Any 2 extensions will work fine [edit: as long as they are both stereo].

You sure that every extension will work?
I'm looking at one right now and it says

"3.5mm Stereo Plug to Jack Extension Cable M / F
For audio / music output ONLY, audio input not available: Mic on the cell phone headset will not work with this adapter."

Just wondering if it will actually work?

What it's saying is that it wont work for headsets that carry stereo audio and mic input down the same line. If your headset has 2 cables; one for audio out and one for audio in then an extension for each will work fine.
